Frustrated with doctors and hospitals
To make a long story short, I am nearly 36 weeks, scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks. I am having a bad flare up of my Crohn's disease so I have been struggling with severe stomach pain on and off, bathroom issues, and a fever a few times a week. My specialist in the city feels I need to have this baby early so they can get my disease under control. My obgyn agrees and so do I. I seriously can't take it anymore.
Anyway, I was admitted to the hospital to be seen by GI's and neonatologists out here. I was having a "good day" and they felt that my flare up isn't serious enough to warrant an early delivery. Basically the hospital is a stickler for no c's before 39 wks unless serious immediate emergency. They kept saying it's "only 3 1/2 weeks" but to me that is an eternity! I'll also need a blood transfusion most likely due to severe anemia. I'm just a mess and can't stop crying. Feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated. I am SO sick and nothing can be done until the baby is out.
 The baby ((knock on wood)) looks great. 5 lbs. 13 oz. so far and growing perfectly. Sorry for the long vent, just needed to get it out.
