Re: petting zoo party at the house

I have no terms of comparison because I live in White Plains and gave never attendee a party at either of those places, but we did have a pony ride/ petting zoo party for DS and it was awesome! The kids started inside with a craft project then went outside for an hour for the animals and then came back in for pizza and cake. The kids absolutely loved it.

Re: petting zoo party at the house

Look into Lollipop pony parties. They do a petting zoo.

I used them for the pony only party but they were great. I heard good things about the petting zoo too.

The staff is really nice too.

Re: petting zoo party at the house

Definitely Lollipop. I was at Sophie's party w/ the pony & the kids really enjoyed it.

I also went to another party w/ the full petting zoo & the staff was great. They talk about the animals & explain how to pet them, answer any q's & are super quicki w/ "clean up". They also doll the pony up.

If you have the space for it, I think it's a lot nicer than White Post b/c they in/out & more personal. YET then you still have to have the party at your house (preparation, food, etc.) At WP, when it's done, it's done (no clean up, etc.)

Re: petting zoo party at the house

We have been to a few Lollopop Pony Parties and they are great.
I also like WPF parties too. Both make for a great party and lots of fun for the kiddies.

Re: petting zoo party at the house

I've never thought about having a zoo at my house but now that I think about it.... wouldn't there be a poopy issue? I'm sure whoever you hire would take care of it, I would hope.. but other than that it sounds like a great idea..

The staff is excellent, the animals are so clean, and they clean up EVERYTHING!

I never thought about it either, until now Chat Icon

Question for those of you who have done them...how large is your yard? I don't have a huge yard...but wondering if I could do this anyway?

we don't have a huge yard either, i think you just need a tent or a shaded area. looking at pictures looks like they set up a small fenced area for the animals

Re: petting zoo party at the house

ive done both!
loved loliipop!!!!! the animals are clean. the only con is that if it rains then you need to provide a covered area...they clean up after them selfs.

White post was nice they do everything for you which was nice...

If you have the room do lolipop...you dont need much room. you can do whitepost for the next birthday like we did. His first birthday was at home with tents and petting zoo. his second was at whitepost. oh and at this first we invited everyone...aunts uncle of my husbands...it was real nice. second one was a little simpler..

Re: petting zoo party at the house

What happens if it rains the day of the party? Can they move the animals into our garage or something? I would love to look into this for DD's next b-day.

Thanks!!

We had to reschedule our party last year due to the weather scare.

Lollipop calls you a couple of days before the party to verify the weather. I rescheduled with them without a problem. They don't want their animals and staff in the pouring rain. They also don't take a deposit so you won't lose on it. They just ask as much notice as possible if you are going to cancel.
