Daycare moms....Velentine's Day...

I know there was a thread about this a few weeks ago but I can't find it!

The boys' daycare sent a list of all of the kids' names in case we want to send Valentine's cards.

Are you doing this? If so, did you make cards or buy them?

There are 39 kids at the daycare. I'd love to make 39 cards w/ the boys but I just don't think I'll have time.

What are you doing?

ETA: My friend also bought "gifts" for the teachers. That's not typical, right?

I bought cards for my little guy (20 months) to give out... not that I think they even "get it" at this age...

And I bought cards with little candies attached for my older one (Kindergarten)..

I also went to walgreens(great Valentine's sale -btw) bought a few bags of candy and decorative little cup which Ill fill and give to all the teachers/assistants/bus driver....

This year, all of the staff (both at daycare and the school)have gone above and beyond for my children and I sooo greatly appreciate it!!!

I bought little cards to give out but they came with lollies. so i cant give the lollies b/c they are under 2 in DS class. and the cards were small w/o the lollie.

So im going to get a box of kix and put them in little cello bags with a topper and call it a day. (they give kix at daycare so i know they're safe.) There are 9 kids and 2 teachers. I bought the 2 teachers a card and a little box of russel stovers.

DD's daycare didn't send out anything, but there are only 5 other kids in her room and i know all their names, but i just don't think its necessary. they are so young! lol

I got my DS little valentines with a lollipop attached for his classmates.

We made cards for DD's class.

She loves painting so I bought blank note cards, paint, glitter and stickers. She spent all weekend working on them and can't wait to do more this weekend so I guess we will make some for the director, teachers, etc.


They aren't fancy, they look like they are done by a 3 year old, which they are

I printed an insert for the cards, we will glue those on this weekend.

I bought cards last year-but I ended up writing them out and I felt silly

not doing anything ... Ann officially moves up to her next classroom on Monday and between the kids she's leaving behind and the new kids (but some are moving out when she moves in), I can't keep track!!

Last year I gave the cheapy kiddie Valentines to her teachers from her but that was it.

I was torn but, I decided DS will hand out Valentines to his friends.

There are only 5 other kids in DS' class so I bought a pack of cards at Target to give out to his classmates and teachers. I might need to get more cards because I hear he's been hanging out in the main office a lot because he's smitten with the new director.

Yes, I got a class list. There's only 10 in the class so I picked up a cute Disney Cars V-day cards for the kids.
There's also a party so I signed up for Fruit Loops.
For the teachers I'm looking to get chocolates or a little something for them.

I think it's cute. DS is only 20 months so he doesn't get it. I was so excited when I saw the list in his cubby a couple of weeks ago

Is anyone giving out anything other than cards? I haven't been to daycare since Monday AM (DS didn't go yesterday or today and DH has been getting him and dropped him off on Tuesday). I saw a mommy who's son is in DS' class on the train this am and asked her. Supposedly they have a big party and exchange presents - moreso for the older kids but, she's getting little things for their classroom too.

There are only 6 kids but, I have no clue what a good little gift is for his classmates!

I am giving $10 gc to Dunkin Donuts to the teachers....they've really gone above and beyong lately, but this is the first year I am actually doing it.
