i dont have a Droid phone.. but my phone does run the Android operating system...
weatherBug - best weather app ive found yet. easy to navigate and read
google sky map - its just fun
maildroid - allows you to combine all you emails into one combined inbox. also fixes the issue with yahoo.com mail
wheres my droid - if you phone ever gets lost, you can text a specific keyword to your phone that will text back the GPS coordinates and a map of where it is.
soundhound - because i cant remember names of songs or artists...ever
ATK - Advanced Task Killer - much better at freeing up memory and closing unused applications.
Astro - better file browser and allows you to have hidden files

its a grocery list app... but you can track by store and price.. and use a barcode scanner to enter items...

yup look within the Driod forum for and you wil find tons of useful apps.
I think they have a threads of 5 most used, 5 unknown etc
at last count i have 115 apps on my DX 
some other u may like
