Motorola Droid Users ? Re: using the navigation
Both my DH and I have the Motorola Droid phones. They are identical. When my DH uses navigate, he says for example “navigate 123 Jane Lane Melville New York”. The directions appear on his phone along with a map AND he gets the directions spoken to him.
Mine wont read the directions out to me. I just get the words and the map but no words.
I made sure the volume was turned up and not muted.
Any idea what I am doing wrong or differently?

Do you have the phone on silent? When you see the directions on the screen...press the menu button...do you see "mute" or "unmute". If you unmute, do you hear the sound now?

WOW, so I just disabled the bluetooth (while inside) and it worked. So I guess it wont work while in the car if I have the bluetooth enabled. That is really dumb.

Thank stinks so right now our best bet is having to pick between hearing the directions or talking through the bluetooth?

from what I hear, certain bluetooth types work, others do not. are you using bluetooth directly through your car or through a headset?
