DD fell and hit her head on a brick mantle
I just heard her fall at her playgroup this morning and then saw blood! 
I feel so stupid for not having watched her that closely and annoyed that the mantle wasn't blocked off. She slipped on the floor, and hit the back of her head...it was bleeding and I cleaned it up, put pressure on it and after crying, she seemed fine, walking around and playing.  I think she's fine, she played happily for an hour afterwards and taking her normal nap now, but it was just awful to see it (and I'm an under-reactor). Just venting I guess

Last year DS1 hit his head on some bricks (extended from the wall in one of the rooms). Tons of blood but fortunately I got it to calm down. The ped took us right away and glued the open area shut. He still has a scar but thankfully we avoided stitches. He slept that day as well and was fine

Yikes, that sounds awful! I'm glad he's ok!
Hearing your baby cry and seeing blood, ugh, my heart just dropped, but she's feeling a bit better. Thanks everyone for the well wishes

Oh no! So sorry she hurt herself. Glad she was ok afterwards. I freak out with any head injuries, glad you were able to stay calm
