Broadway Show Outfit
DH and I are going to a broadway show in 2 weeks. We are staying at a nice 'botique-y' hotel. What would you guys wear? Should I get a dress? HELP!

Re: Broadway Show Outfit
Honestly at a Broadway Show these days, anything goes. I've seen people all dressed up, and others in jeans and sneakers. So it's more what you feel like doing- if you want to get dressed up and have fun- go for it. But bare in mind it's so freaking cold out these days so maybe you'd be more comfy in nice pants?

Re: Broadway Show Outfit
Unfortmuantely, the days of any sort of 'appropriate dress' code for Broadway are gone - I have seen people show up in sweatpants
I still get dress to go to the theater - I'm not wearing a gown, but dressed like I was going to a nice dinner .........I'm not wearing jeans or sneakers -
it IS really cold out though so you may want to do that dress w/ tights, or wear pants

Re: Broadway Show Outfit
I agree with the PP's... pple don't get dressed up like they used to. I like to dress nice when going to see a show b/c we usually have reservations at a nice restaurant b4 or go out for something after. With this weather I think a nice sweater dress is good. Don't forget the long jacket, scarf, hat, and gloves.
ETA... I always like an excuse to dress a little fancier for things. It's nice to get the "wow" from DH when I come downstairs and he sees me.

Re: Broadway Show Outfit
no one get's dressed up for Broadway shows anymore and it's really a travesty. DH & I went to see Westside Story in the summer on a Saturday night. No one & I mean no one aside from DH & I were dressed up. It was shorts, sneakers, tank tops & fanny packs
Tourist have ruined Broadway IMO. If you want to get dressed up I say go for it!

Re: Broadway Show Outfit
I usually would just go with black pants and a nice sweater/top.
