Daycare Teacher Gifts
Can we discuss this again. I know it's been brought up a million times.
My cousin is the Kindergarten teacher at the daycare. When I told her I was giving Mason's teacher $50 she said it's more than enough. Mason is 18 months. The head teacher feeds him b/c he has sensory issues with food, changes diapers, naps, dresses if accidents or putting on jackets, etc. I'm sure you all know.
I think maybe it's not enough. I was thinking $50 and we're giving her cute slippers.
For the assistants I'm giving them $25 each with the slippers.
Is that good or should I do more?
I did work at this daycare many years ago when I was in college and all I remember getting was ornaments, candy, mugs, etc.

More than enough Erica!! I would maybe write a little card about how much you appreciate all her work with Mason and you wish it could be more to express how much you appreciate her.

Thanks! I'm sure you know, but I wish I could give more. Heck, I wish I had more for myself to spare 
I've seen some girls on here say $100 for the teachers. Or maybe I'm confusing that with the nanny gift. LOL! Who knows.
Just figured I'd confirm
BTW... when are you giving your teacher gifts? I was thinking maybe next Wed?

My boys have 3 women who work in their room, I'm giving them each $50. Wish it could be more, too, but $150 is alot for me......I'm giving it to them this Friday....

I know...we are still up in the air about other teachers that LOVE john or teachers in the infant room b/c we just love them all!!
I think Im giving it to them Wed or Thursday too.

Oh, and there's an assistant next door to Mason's room that loves Mason. He loves her too. I hear from everyone how Miss Bianca stops in the room for something and Mason won't let her leave. We also have to stop in to say goodnight every night. I'm just getting her a cute pair of the slipper socks. Figured that's enough since she really isn't his teacher

DS has a bunch of teachers that take care of him so I based it off of their "level" so to speak and how much time they spend with him.
The head teacher in the room has him 2 days, so I gave her $55 worth of GC, the assistant has him 3 days (he only goes 3 days) and I gave her $40 worth of GC, another teacher has him 1 day, but all day, so I gave her $30 worth of GC and then one woman has him in the morning only, all 3 days, for one hour, so I gave her a $20 GC. It was very stressful on what to give them, but I thnk I worked it out alright and they were all grateful!
ETA: I asked my daycare teacher (she's a friend) how much people usually get...she said people usually give $20-25 GC, and the teachers a bit more, and that $100 cash was given to her once in her career many years ago. I think people usually give a weeks salary or $100 if its just one person (nanny or home care) that takes care of their child.

I am doing the same thing Erica. I threw in some Bath & Body works soap and a small package of chocolate covered oreos as well.

i think thats fine!!
im giving a box of mrs. prindables pretzels that i bought on Rue La La on their sale, witha $25 g/c to Amazon for the 2 main teachers.
i might also just order something for the center to have breakfast one morning next week.
but other than, that I think you are giving more than enough!

I'm still torn about this!!!!!!
He goes to in-home daycare and doesn't have a "main" teacher. There is 3 of them, he goes part time (2 days) and I CANNOT decide. I'm getting annoyed at myself!!!
