Please help if your child ever swallowed a foreign object
How long did it take to pass? If you read my post from last night DD swallowed her earring, we went to ER, XRY shows in her intestines. They said watch her poop carefully.
This mornng she pooped like normal but the earring wasnt in there
I am a nervous wreck.

It really can take a while. My daughter ate a handful of change when she was about 18 months, and it took about 10 days. Of course, 2 pennies, a dime and a nickel are much heavier than an earring. And, they came out at different times... go figure.

It really can take a while. My daughter ate a handful of change when she was about 18 months, and it took about 10 days. Of course, 2 pennies, a dime and a nickel are much heavier than an earring. And, they came out at different times... go figure.
That must have been a painful poopy! I'm a nervous wreck about loose change. I'm always yelling at DH because he'll let it fall out of his pants and then he'll leave it on the floor!

I think it took 3 or 4 days for a metal button to pass when Bella swallowed it.

I don't know how long it took to come out, I actually never told my parents but when I was little I ate a screw. I turned out (somewhat) ok.

DS swallowed a red jingle bell last winter. He passed it within 48 hours. The only thing DH asked when I got concerned was if he jingled when I shook him

DD swallowed a band aid. It came out about 2 days later. I know it's not as bad as the pp's but it did pass!

She passed them all seperately at different poops! And since I didn't know exactly how much she had eaten, I was digging around in pooy diapers for 2 weeks. I felt like an archeologist... "I found one!!!!" She didn't seem to have any pain, though!

Peyton ate the beads off my keychain that spelled MOMMY when she was younger. The 1st letter was pooped out the next morning but it took about 3 days to get them all Hope you and your DD are fine too!
