So tomorrow I have to go for my millionth sono....
I am 16 weeks so I was going to the perinatologist for the AFP anyway on Thursday. But my OB made me bump up the appt to tomorrow since she fears my cervix may be shortening. 
The tech that did my sono last week at the OBs office said my cervix was in the normal range - 3.2 but for whatever reason my OB is still concerned.
On the flip side, many people have told me at 16 weeks I could very well be able to find out the sex of these 2 little beans, so fingers crossed for that.
That's whats going on here. Please send some good vibes my way!

its good the dr is being concerned and checking constantly. find comfort and security in that. I'd much prefer and overly protective dr than an absent one.

Hoping everything goes well! Although going back and forth to the doctor is never fun it's great that they are so on top of everything.
Hopefully the twins will cooperate so you can get a peek at the gender. I had a sonogram today at 15w6d and the doctor asked us several times if we wanted to know. We are still team green, but I think you have a good shot.

lots of good vibes your way!!!! I think with twins they are much more careful because eventually the weight of the babies will shorten your cervix so they want to keep it as long they can.
But I do think you have a good chance to find out the sexes...we knew by that time.
keep us posted and fm me if you have anyquestions. My cervix started to shorten at 14 weeks...still in the normal range but they still were very cautious
