Anyone go to Dr. George in West Islip?

I love this practice. I haven't been going for too long because DS is not even 3 months yet but so far we met Dr. Trivedi, Dr. Bonafedi, and Dr. Bilder and they are all amazing. Does anyone else know about the other doctors, are they just as great?

My daughter is 20 months old and we've only been using this practice. We love all the doctors there (especially Dr. Bilder). They are amazing.

We like all of the doctors there. The only one we haven't met yet is Dr. Trivedi, but DS's next appt is with him.

For those who might not know, we got an email notification last week that Dr. Bilder will be out for a while due to medical reasons.

Dr. Trivedi was the one who first saw us at the hospital. He told us never to let DS go longer than 4 hours between feedings. Everyone I told this to thought that we were nuts and said never wake a sleeping baby. Well the second appointment we saw Dr. Bilder and she said that Dr. Trivedi was young and didn't know what he was talking about and to let him feed on demand and never wake a sleeping baby lol

he basically yelled at me bc he said i was over feeding her. i explained to him that dr george told me if she wants more ounces give it to her....

i was giving her i think 4 oz at the time and he told me she shouldn't have anymore than 2oz....

she was almost 3 months when we saw dr. T, at her two month appt with dr george she was eating way more than 2oz and he said that was completely fine.

I wasnt forcing her to eat, she wanted it. He just went on and on about how she was going to over weight if I continued to feed her like that. I came back with well Your "boss" told me that it was completely fine and she wasnt being over fed.

So two months later my DD is completely fine in the weight department so apparently he was wrong.

I'm sure he is a nice Dr. I just dont agree with how he talked to me and I wont be seeing him again.

one of the nurses told me the same thing, I asked Dr. George and he told me they will wake when they are hungry.

I NEVER wake a sleeping baby.

We were just there a few weeks ago and we were told that Dr bilder has stage 4 lymphoma and she's being treated and they don't know when she will/if she will be back.

Re: Anyone go to Dr. George in West Islip?

We've been going there since they started. We followed Dr. George from the Grello practice. LOVE them.

Dr. George is my favorite. He always remembers little things about my kids and makes them feel special. I also really like Dr. VanCura. I've only seen Dr. Trivedi and Dr. Bilder once and the only time I saw Dr. Bonafede was when she was still with Grello and I did like her.. although she seems very 'business-y'. I always request George or VanCura though.

I think it's a fabulous practice with really caring doctors.
