When you get homeowner's ins....how do you answer all those crazy questions?

..like, where is the nearest fire hydrant?

or, what the roof is made out of?

i have to call for quotes ASAP but just want to not sound like a monkey

Do you have a copy of the inspection &/or appraisal.

That will have most of the info you need on it.

It's important to know where the nearest hydrant is. Just walk along your street until you see one, then estimate the distance. Most properties are 100ft wide, so you can count properties.
Unless your roof is very obviously different than all of your neighbor's roofs, it's asphalt shingles. I don't remember the last non-asphalt shingle roof I've seen in person.

Most of these answers are on your appraisal. Answer fire hydrant question within feet and fire dept distnace within miles. Dont go crazy be so exact with those. BUT the interior and exterior questions must ne answered accurate. Those are used to help calculate your dwelling replacement coverage as well as make sure you qualify for a specific co.
