Looking for your thoughts re: renting an apt
DH and i have been trying to sel our coop fo awhile and arent having any luck We found a house today that we LOVE and cant do a thing about it. So...realtir suggested we rent our co-op
How much do you think we can get for a 2 BR apt in a co-op complex? Eat in kitchen, walk in closet, DR and LR, hardwood floors

Re: Looking for your thoughts re: renting an apt
first question- are you allowed to rent? I know some units have rules saying that you can't
second- is the Realtor your agent? they should be able to provide you with comps on what the rent will be
third question- are you able to get approved for a mortgage with out selling the co-op?

1. yes we are allowed 2. no, it was a realtor of a house we looked at (not the one we love) 3. yes

Re: Looking for your thoughts re: renting an apt
Will it be for the rent alone or will it include utilities? What about maintenance?

Where do you live? I don't think anyone can even guess at a rent amount without knowing the town...
You should talk to a couple of realtors and ask them for comps on rent.

we will be renting our apartment and buying a home as well. we went to the realtor associated with this complex. got our approval for the mortgage already. they told us exactly how much we can rent it for and how long it will take. good luck!
