DONE TO DEATH I KNOW BUT.... table food ladies..what are they eating for meals???

I know I know.. it's been done to death.. but really I can't figure out how to incorporate table foods into meals. everyone says.. give him what you make.. but like last night i made salmon, cuscous and peas and corn.. I gave him a pea without the skin and he was fine but really Im at a loss?

So far he's eaten:
Puffs
wagon wheels
american cheese
bread
pancake
ONE pea (not even sure If I need to be squishing it or not? )

Can you just tell me what you make them for each meal???

DS is 8 months old just fyi?

Colin wants EVERYTHING, but he has a dairy sensitivity which is annoying.

He's had:
puffs
cheerios by the boxful
pancakes
bread
pork
grilled chicken
chicken nuggets
pizza without cheese
pasta (last night he ate more rigatoni ala vodka than Ryan )
banana - in tiny pieces or big chunks in the mesh feeder
pirates booty
french toast
meatballs
hamburger
soy cheese
soy yogurt
pierogies

Basically, he gets whatever he can try from our meal.
Last night we had leftover rigatoni ala vodka and grilled chicken - he had some of both in addition to his cereal and pureed jar.

ETS: He's almost 9 months and has no teeth.

DD is 8 months and these are the table foods she has:

Breakfast: french toast, pancakes, eggs (yolk only), cut up fruits - pretty much anything - strawberries, blueberries, banana, peaches, pears, plums, etc.

Lunch - yogurt, fruit bar, cheese, grilled cheese. Cut up fruit again.

Dinner - grilled chicken, she loves ham, meatballs, ravioli, pierogies, etc. Cut up veggies like peas, carrots, corn, etc.

She doesn't have table food every day and every meal. I still do purees but I like to switch things up day to day and meal to meal.

I'm struggling too - we don't really eat anything I feel that I can give him (we eat a lot of spicy/heavily seasoned foods), but here's what I've been doing:

With Breakfast:
Puffs: sometimes
Waffles: I lightly toast a 1/2 so that it's not frozen or too toasty & break it up into small pieces. He usually eats about 1/2 of that.
Bananas: a few very small slices cut into sm. pieces
Apples: also cut into sm. pieces

With Lunch:
Hummus: a Tbs of plain hummus
Whole wheat bread: broken into sm. pieces
Turkey: BH Ovengold deli turkey in sm. pieces

With Dinner:
Garbanzo or black beans: chopped up into sm. pieces
Veggie burger: just a few sm. pieces of mine
Strawberries/watermelon: if I have them

Luce is 9 months, 1 week. he is almost 6 teeth fully exposed.

give him the couscous!!!

Sunday night I made a basic risotto with spinach. I mixed the risotto and a TINY bit of spinach with some pureed carrots and the boy DOGGED it.

risotto. he LOVED it.

l gave him more risotto mixed with pureed sweet potato last night and that was a hit.

don't shy away from savory/herbed/spiced food (and when I say spiced I don't mean 'hot' I mean flavored)

luce much prefers guacamole (with onions, garlic, cilantro. lime) to plain mashed avocado.

as long as he can chew it, I give it to him!! I am just not giving meats.

eta: he loved tzaziki with pita bread. and kalamata olives (no skin). he LOVES eggplant parm. rice with beans, stew. etc.

sometimes he even has garlic breath

I also make him whole wheat french toast. I use Arnold bread and add vanilla, powdered cinnamon and ginger to the egg wash. I serve that with cut up pieces of fruit. or whole wheat pancakes (I have a good recipe if you want)

I make huge batches over the weekend and freeze them.

he eats plain greek yogurt. eggs (I made some scrambled with dried oregano, romano cheese, and a little pepper and he loved it!)

What I've been doing lately, since DS has a ridiculous gag reflex, is giving him whatever I'm having, literally whatever I'm having, and putting it into a stage 2 dinner of some kind.

So, we had ziti and meatballs the other night. I cut up pieces of ziti and meatballs and and put it into a winter squash stage two and gave it to him.

Ok I have a ??? too. If you give your DC table food. Do you skip the jar food? We are to the point Ds really isn;t interested in jar food. He wants want is on our plate.

actually puffs and cheese, that's about it.

my ped. makes us wait until 9 months. I'm going to notebook though!

I was having the same dilemas and now i just let him try everything (DS will be 9 months on thursday) Funny you say cous cous bc we gave him some last week and he seemed to love it.

He has ziti on saturday at a BBQ

We gave him some of our pancakes a week ago and he really liked that.

we just give him stuff when we are eating and see how it goes.

We just keep away from the stuff that they shouldnt have like honey, nuts etc.

I have never given him jarred food. saved myself a TON of money.

My almost 9 month old has started refusing the spoon. He sees it coming and he just shuts down. I have to just shove food in his mouth. He loves those gerber cheese doodle things so I dip them in the jar food and give it to him. I got him to eat a whole bowl of sweet potatoes that way. I also scoop oatmeal into his mouth with cheerios or gerber puffs. I give him little bites of banana, kiwi, strawberry, or blue berries cut in half. He LOVES mozzarella cheese. Sometimes I overcook carrots and give him little cubes. I mash up rice and beans with my fork and give it to him with my fingers. I would also give him salmon because it's soft. Last night I picked out the soft parts inside my roasted potato and he enjoyed that.

His favorite thing is when I give him a whole half of an eggo waffel. He ripps it apart and makes a big mess, but he LOVES to feed himself.

my DD is 8 months old and doesn't eat any table food. We are just to worried about choking! Maybe we will start next month...

DD is almost 10 months now and she only wants our table food. I have to trick her into eating the purees only because I want to make sure she's getting enough.

She regularly eats...
pancakes
eggs
cheese
breads
grilled cheese
pasta (plain, with garlic and oil, with marinara)
and little pieces of everything we eat.

She loves to feed herself also so it is quite a mess!

My problem with this is VARIETY. DH and I are bad in that we can eat the same damn thing for breakfast and lunch every day. Now dinner is always different but, I feel like I'm getting her into the same rut we get into. Cereal for breakfast, maybe a waffle/fruit for lunch...

I'm always just going with the really soft foods so this kid basically eats carbs all day... pancakes, french toast sticks, waffles...pasta...I've gotta do better than that!!

Chicken
ham
turkey
mac and cheese
pasta with all sorts of stuff
Jelly sandwich
Cheese sandwiches

dinner- chicken etc

pretty much anything we are eating. My kids like spices too....and I still give some jarred food, usually add some fruits and veggies in with the jars..

American cheese

I supplement sometimes with a small jar of baby food.. like if we are having pizza he has veggies then he gets some crust. I've tried bits of chicken, turkey and beef but he hates all of it so he really doesn't eat any meat unless its the pureed baby food meat.

whatever we eat...and we've been doing that for months. And he gets whatever we eat spice-wise also.
Dr. said they have to get used to seasonings and spices sooner or later - better to do sooner.
