Does/Did your Newborn follow this eating rule?
Up to the age of about 3-4 months, I keep reading/hearing about the recommendation, that newborns should eat about 2-2.5 oz for every pound of body weight, every day. This comes from the Merk Medical Manual too. But, was this true for yours?
Can you give example, age, weight, length, and how many ounces ate a day?

28 oz a day

I don't remember exact numbers, but yes she did. 2oz per lb.

I don't think so, I think it may only be for formula. I think BF babies eat more and eat more frequently.
My DS chowed down 6oz of BM and was hungry every 2 hours. I couldn't keep up. I had to supplement, when I did, he took 3-4oz and was fine 3-4 hours.

DD is 3 months. Not sure how much she weights - I assume at least 12 pounds and 24 inches. She drinks 26-28 ounces of formula per day. I feed her every 4 hours.
