Re: Direct Buy question

I don't know what they sell but I think you ca get a fee look around type thing. A though my dad (who is remodeling his upstate apartments says that you can get the same prices if you look for sales)

Re: Direct Buy question

Direct Buy does sell all major appliances brands, I don't know if all locations work the same but when my husband bought the sub zero and wolf appliances what they did is they contacted their distributors/dealers for quotes on what he was intereted in and he was able to get everything he wanted through Direct Buy.

Re: Direct Buy question

my sister is a member, but buying her appliances elsewhere. She said their pricing on appliances isn't anything special.

Re: Direct Buy question

I would go and see if they have it and then find out if the money you would save would still be worth it after you pay the membership fee which I think is $3K maybe a little more. My parents joined and then canceled the membership after they screwed up one of there orders.

I am not sure which appliances you plan on getting but I have the following Viking appliances:
Fridge
wine fridge
36" dual range (gas cooking and electric oven)
dishwasher

Out of those items the only one worth the money is the range. We inherited these appliances when we moved in and they are all from 2002. So far in 2005 the fridge was repaired by the previous HO, we repaired the dishwasher with a new motor (that alone was just under $500) in 2008, 2009 we needed a new heating coil in the oven. The rubber gasket around the fridge is ripping too. For the amount of money those appliances are, there shouldn't have these many problems. No matter who I ask that deals with these appliances and I ask there opinion, it's always no comment.

My aunt as a Subzero fridge but it is close to 25 years old already. They needed to fix the motor 3 times within the first 10 years.
