"Sprinkle" related, but not a pregnancy one
My BFF and her family are adopting a 9 year old girl
She should be with them soon, I was wondering if I should FB her sisters and see if we should throw her a "sprinkle" of sorts...
She has two boys, but they are two and one..

I think that's a great idea. What about more of a "welcome to the family" party. Something like that. This way the it doesn't seem so babyish for the girl.

I think you should throw a party once the little girl is here, that way she will be able to meet everyone and be there to feel the love! KWIM?

I think that would be wonderful....especailly for the little girl.
you can do stuff like get her bedding and room decor and really make her feel so welcomed~~~

Yeah, that's a great idea!
Should I clue in Allie (my BFF) or should we try to surprise them all?
I'm channeling my grandmother she threw me a shower when I went to college (first one to live in a dorm)

As an parent of an adopted child I would definately not plan a surprise party once the little girl comes home. She may have attachement issues and a party, especially a surpise one might not be in her best interest so soon in coming home.
I do though think it's a great idea to have a little "sprinkle" for your friend before the little girl comes home though. Very thoughtful!! : ).

I don't know if it makes a difference, but she is coming from the foster care system and already spends weekends, etc with their family...

I think it's an awesome idea! WE just threw a shower for my sister and BIL--they adopted a baby recently, and it would help her a lot. Plus if the little girl is with them, she could be there too and meet some of the extended family/friends.

Yes, Yes, Yes I think any child who comes into this world or a new family should be celebrated!!! Your BFF would probably love it!!!
I love the idea "welcome to the family" and the gift idea of new bedding etc for her new room! I bet this little girl will feel sooo special!
