Has anyone tried benadryl for their infant?
Riley has a sinus infection and the doc said she could have a 1/2 tsp of children's benadryl before bed. I didn't try it last night. How did your DC react to it?

when em's rash was at it's worst in december - we used it - (pre measured spoon is the kind we used). i used what i considered to be half or 1/4 - dont' remember. it had no effect on her at all though i have heard it can go either way - put them to sleep or energize them.

We never have..
But I'd try it before a naptime first, it COULD keep her awake and not put her to sleep, and well, who wants to deal with that at night, you know?

We had to give it to DD at 4 months old because her itching was out of control. She didn't have any reaction (didn't sleep longer or go hyper or anything), but she did stop scratching herself silly!

Sophia had 2 back-to-back colds in Feb, we were at the Ped 4 times in 3 weeks.
They told us to give her 1/2tsp two times daily as needed (but mainly at bedtime) to help dry her up.
Worked really well, dried her up and helped her sleep!

It helped James sleep when he was itching really badly from his rashes.

I have used it for two colds she had, she was fine-wasnt hyper from it-maybe a little sleepy but she didnt sleep any longer than usual-try it b4 a nap!
