I am in Baldwin, right next to RVC. It is a beautiful town, lots of restaurants nice homes and a great school district. Taxes are a little high though, don't know if that matters to you.

work in oceanside, borderline RVC. Love it, great young area, lots of shopping and great restaurants. Also great schoools

I grew up there, it's a great town to live in. Beautiful homes and a nice community feel.

I lived there for 6 years, before we bought our house and moved up to where we are now.
Loved RVC. So close to everything, I lived north, off of Lakeview Ave and walked to the LIRR, which is a great station for commuting to NYC.
Tons of restaurants, movie theatre, bowling, etc.

I live in Baldwin, one town over from RVC and I love it there. Has a good town feel and lots of restaurants. And yes, it is a good commute to NYC.

I rented in RVC and lived there for 5 years, now own a home in Baldwin because RVC was too much $$$ for us  the taxes there are very high because its an incorporated village
I loved it.. tons of bars and restaurants, close commute to the city, and a young family feel to it

i live close to there and love RVC!! it's DH's dream town. the only thing i don't like, and would make me never move there, is that it's an incorporated village. i live in one now and HATE everything about it (except for having our own police force--that's a huge benefit). i personally won't move to one again but i know other people love them.
