Faint Line on OPK?
My OB/GYN told me to start using an OPK from CD7 until I get a positive result. I started yesterday and zilch. Today I had a faint line. Could that possibly be indicating ovulation?

Re: Faint Line on OPK?
Depends on the brand, but usually the line tests want the color of the lines to match. A faint line (typically) doesn't mean anything.

Re: Faint Line on OPK?
No. Most of the time you will get a faint line. When you get the surge, there will probably be no mistaking it--it is supposed to be as dark or darker than the control line. Anything less than that does not indicate impending ovulation. I personally never had any trouble deciphering the lines, but if you do then you could try the digital version of the OPK with the .

Re: Faint Line on OPK?
faint line means nothing, sorry! It detects an LH surge but there will always be at least some LH in your urine so it's common to see faint line, but it's bot positive unless it's as dark or darker than the control.

Re: Faint Line on OPK?
You're probably getting closer to ovulating, but the faint line is not a positive result like it would be on a pregnancy test. Good luck!

Re: Faint Line on OPK?
Like others said, unfortunately not. I get a faint line every time. But when it's positive, I can definitely tell. It's often darker than the control line.
Good luck!
