Working moms who BFed and weaned to cow's milk, how did you do it?

DD will be one next month ( ) and I'm looking for some suggestions on how to make the transition over to cow's milk for her daycare bottles. I would like to still continue her morning and evening nursing for as long as my supply holds out.

She currently gets three 6 oz bottles at daycare - one in the morning with breakfast, one after lunch before her nap, and one about an hour before going home.

Do I mix BM and cow's milk? Should I start before she turns one? If I'm mixing, in what ratios and how long should I mix before transitioning completely?

And what do I do on weekends when she would normally nurse full time?

I ended up starting the transition over Christmas so I had time to work with him. I didn't mix it with BM b/c I really wanted to be done with pumping and my supply was really getting low. I started giving DS 2 oz of milk in a sippy cup during meals. He'd drink a few sips and then started spitting it out. After a few attempts, I offered it in a bottle. He drank more, but still barely an oz. I started warming it in a bottle and he drank a little more. Within a week, he was drinking 3-4 oz of cow's milk. By the second week, he was drink 6 oz of cow's milk warmed up in a bottle. He still won't drink much from a sippy cup.

I send him in with 3 bottles and he drinks 2-3 of them. His teachers offer it in a sippy cup first, but he won't drink much. Right now, they'll give him the rest of the milk in the bottle. He has no problem drinking water from a sippy cup, but he doesn't like milk in it. I still nurse him in the morning and most evenings. On the weekend, I offer a bottle of milk during the times that I used to nurse.

When they were a little over 11 months, I cut out one BFing session (the one in the early afternoon) and replaced it with a sippy w/milk with lunch.
A week before they turned 1, I cut out the late afternoon BFing session and gave them a sippy with milk with dinner.
I still BF in the morning and give formula at night. When the formula runs out, I will start giving them milk before bedtime too, but I will still BF in the morning for awhile longer.

I never mixed whole milk with BM. I treated cow's milk like a new food, and just flat out introduced it in a sippy cup.

Chloe is 11 months and I just started to introduce cows milk (a little early because she is starting daycare in 2.5 weeks). Chloe has been refusing the bottle for months, so I have been offering her a sippy with water during meals since 6 months. She can drink out of it, but doesn't drink much - a few sips here and there, spits out a lot too.

I usually BF 4X a day. Instead of BF around 11, I offer her a sippy with milk. She doesn't take more than a few sips, but she doesn't seem interested in nursing either. I continue to offer the sippy with milk and a sippy with water throughout the day. Once she is taking in a little more milk I am going to get rid of the afternoon feeding. Then the morning feeding and lastly the night feeding.

I tried several different sippy cups and some days she seems to prefer the soft nuby ones, other days the playtex. playtex arent as messy, so ive been offering those more. She also seems to prefer it warmed a little.

I can't offer much advice because the transition isn't as successful as I had hoped, but I'll keep you posted!
