? about OPK
So I used an OPK for the first time randomly. I had a chemical preg. last month so I wasn't sure if I would ovulate. I took it on day 15, even though I usually have all the signs of Ovulating on day 14. Well I took it and got a smiley, so we BDed that night. Is that how this thing works? I took another OPK the next day and the smiley was gone, does that me I'm not Ovulating?

Re: ? about OPK
The smiley means you SHOULD be Oing in the next couple of days. The only thing that can determine if you actually do is temperature rise the day after ovulation.

Re: ? about OPK
An OPK detects Lutenizing Hormone (LH), which is released right before O. You'll typically O 12-72 hours after getting a positive OPK. LH disappears after you O, so if you O'd on CD15, your OPK would be negative on CD16.
Am I making sense?

Re: ? about OPK
Smiley means you will most likely "O" in the next 12-36 hrs.
Goodluck!
Happy BD'ing. I would BD 3 days in a row once you get the smiley.
