Newbie here...

So, I think DH & I are ready to start TTC (well, according to DH, he's been ready for a longgg time... I have been stalling)...

I read some of the birth stories board and from time to time I'll check out the pregnancy boards, and this board... and I'm soooo scared!!! Not only does the whole "birthing process" scare the cr@p out of me... but, I feel so unprepared!!! Half of the stuff I read I can't even understand lol it's really sad!

Does anyone/did anyone feel the same way... and what helps? I'm guessing reading up on the subject, but I don't know where to start lol...

I think everyone feels the same way at first! The best thing is to just read, read, read IMO. I'd HIGHLY reccomend picking up the book Taking Charge of You Fertility. I LOVE it and it's so informative. And as far as the stuff on the boards you'll get used to all the lingo, abbrs, and terminology in a couple weeks.

ITA, I totally recommend picking up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility, You learn so much about what goes on down there, it really helps. Good Luck
