Just got my floors refinished today and it stinks
The smell is so terrible my head is starting to hurt and of course it is absolutely freezing out so opening the windows pretty much isn't an option and the thought of having to sleep at my moms house makes me want to shoot myself.

that is a terrible smell. I would try to crack some of the windows or go to your moms. those are some terrible fumes to inhale all night long.

You absolutely should NOT be in the house.
The fumes are toxic.
My floor guy tells people, three days. I know a PITA but a lot of people get them done while they are staying at a relatives, before they move in or when they go on vacation.
I know it sounds crazy but you need to crack the windows (to ventilate the place) AND turn up the heat so the floors can cure... I know, I know  but that's the way you have to do it.
 when the oil bill comes.

that smell is very strong and prob. not very good for you...we had to stay at my mils when the floor was done in our place

Oooh, we did our floors this past summer and the smell was horrendous! We actually moved out of our house for about 10 days because of it (I was also pregnant at the time). We kept our windows wide open but of course the floors were done during the hottest most humid week in August and took forever to dry. Do you have ceiling fans you could keep on to help the floors dry faster?

Open the windows, ventilate as much as you can and put a couple of cups of white vinegar around--it will help absorb the smell...

They should have let you know the smell is bad for several days. We had our floors sanded, stained and polyed - before moving to our old home and again just before we moved here. We did it before we moved in b.c the smell is horrible for about 3-5 days and it still smelled a week later. Honestly I don't think the fumes are good for you to be inhaling. Can you open windows and go somewhere else for a while?
