How do you dress DC when taking them somewhere in this weather?
I am finding it very difficult to put my 8 month old DS in an infant carrier with a fluffy/thick bunting snow suit thingy on. DS hates when I put that thing on him and then screams when I try to buckle him in his seat.
How do you dress or what do you put on your DC when putting them in the car and taking them somewhere?
When should I do differenly? And I do not own a Bundle Me for safety reasons.

My son is 18 months. He wears a heavy sweatshirt or fleece with a hat. I always warm the car up before we go in so he is only outside for 2 seconds. On the really cold days I take a blanket also, but he won't leave it on him.

I have a sherpa-lined sweatshirt that DS wears and a fleece-lined jacked that DD wears. They both have hoods. So they'll wear a hat and the hood. I'll put a blanket on them in the stroller if it is bitter cold out and windy.
They are 11.5 months.

Ok, so I can give up on this bunting thing that I can bearly strap my DS into the carrier when it is on???
A sweatshirt and hat or jacket would do the trick? And of course a blanket!! I can use the bunting for a stroller trip!!

I wouldn't put a snowsuit on him in the carrier. You shouldn't use any bulky snowsuits or jackets in the car seat. When DS was in the infant carrier, I used the Posh Pouch, which goes over the car seat. It jept him warm and he just wore regular clothes underneath. Now that he's in the convertible seat, he wears a heavy jacket, which I take off before putting him in the car seat. After I strap him in, I put the jacket over him like a blanket.

Re: How do you dress DC when taking them somewhere in this weather?
I never owned a bunting or snowsuit. When he was little, I would layer him in long sleeves, fleece and then put a blanket over him. I did use a Bundle Me, because I didn't know about the safety issues at the time. You could layer him with blankets and he will be fine.
I hate driving with a coat on, so the heat is usually blasting and he doesn't have to be too bundled up once he is in the car.

At that age, I dressed her in mid-weight layers and used the bundle-me for the carrier.

Chloe is 10.5 months and I put her in either a sherpa lined sweatshirt hoodie and fleece hat or the warmest jacket from the gap if it's very cold. I take the jacket off in the car. We leave the house from our garage that has heat vents, so it's never really that cold.

DS is 11 months I put his long sleeve onesie on, usually a sweater, fleece lined pants. Winter jacket, hat and gloves. He hates his jacket too....
