I bought the cutest dress in Lucia on 5th Ave in Park Slope the other day. It is black, but also comes in purple, a stiff stretch cotton tank-like top and a cute little skirt (mid-thigh) with tons of tulle underneath. It is just the cutest little thing. I'm actually wearing it to my DD's 1st b-day party (I don't give an ish) but I might pair it with boots to dress it down a bit. I'm going to wear a shrug over it.
Best part--68 bucks with 10% off. And they have tons of dressy sparkly thangs for NYE.
Also, don't know where you live, but Goldy+Mac on 5th Avenue also had really nice stuff, though I don't like to recommend them because I think they have an attitude problem. Nice clothes, snotty service. I bought a great dress for 70 bucks with 20% off b/c it had a broken zipper. My Mom fixed it in a pinch.
