Cave Crickets!!!
Does anyone have cave crickets....spider crickets... camel crickets.... I have heard them called these names... in your basement? I am scared to go down there anymore!!! They are HUGE!!!
How do we get rid of them???

I stepped on one yesterday with my bare feet 
I went to HD - the guy said everyone is complaining this year about them. He gave me an insecticide - I am going to spray the garage. Not sure what to do in the house - they are very INVASIVE (I read online 1,000's of eggs are laid and hatched 1 year later )

glue traps work, but i also called the exterminater i hate them soo much!

The good news is that they should start to die off soon! I hate them as well. Spray bug repellent by your doors outside and be careful when you open the doors b/c they jump right in!

I have never been so grossed out in my entire life. DH & I have killed so many this year. I think we killed 5 in one night alone. I can't wait for it to get really cold so they'll just die off already.

I had them for the first time last year - and maybe that year later egg thing happened, b/c they are here again...but not as bad as last year.
I also let one freaking fly in this week when the weather was nice and now I have about 10 living in my basement - and I'm finding dead crickets?

EEEW Yes! My parents have them everywhere in the basement! When my mom has to go down there to do laundry she actually yells at them to go away before she goes down the stairs 
the glue traps have worked really well for them though!

We also have a baseball bat just for cave crickets (wiffle ball bat)

FYI
They are carnivorous so if you use the sticky traps and you catch one, leave it in there. I know it looks gross but a new one will be attracted to the dead one and go to eat it and get trapped as well.
Yes, I have done research on them LOL because I am sick and tired of them.
I have one corner of my basement that has 2 traps: one is totally empty and the other next to it has like 10 dead ones in there LOL It really is amazing.
Anyway, i have not seen one alive in weeks so I think it is doing the trick.

When I was growing up we used to have them in our garage… I’d never seen anything like them in my life so we used to call them Garage Monsters. HATE them!
