Have you ever tested a 9 volt battery on your tongue?
We had a discussion at work the other day about testing a 9volt battery (the square ones with the + and - next to each other) by touching the terminals with your tongue. A good battery tingles and has a metallic taste. A dead battery doesn't do anything.
All of the guys said "Sure I've done that.... how else will you know?"
The women either said "What?!?! Why would you do that?" or "I've never even had a desire to do that, but I've seen/heard of my bro/husband/other guys do it...."
It was very consistent in our office as far as male/female responses went. Just wondering how it's going to be in here.
BTW, I do this often... How else would I know if they are good or not?

we used to do this all the time when we were kids (a group of girls).
I brought this up at work once and everyone (men included) looked at me like I was NUTS. So glad Im not the only one

NEVER! I don't understand why boys feel the need to hurt themselves. In college, someone took apart a BBQ, and had the electric starter, and all the guys were shocking themselves with it. WHY?

Yes & for the record, they do sell a rack that hold your batteries & has a battery tester on it...it's an actual tester not a giant tongue sticking out.

Yes I have, but I was a kid and thought why not? Now I know better! It was a weird but couldn't tell if it was painful or not feeling. LOL!

Now I give it to my husband and he uses his multi-meter to see if it has juice!

Same with me! I think it was a curiosity thing when we were little. And now I can't stop thinking about the taste you get in your mouth when you lick one!

I have. It's so tingly...
I used to do it a lot when I was a kid to get that tingly feeling. I was weird.
