finally my 1st OB appt today!!!
I am 9W5D today, and i finally get to see the OB!
i have been seeing the Peri since then.. but for some reason i am so nervous.. why !!! 
i forgot what they do at the 1st appt besides the sono..
you would think i remember these things!!

Good luck!!!!
At my first appointment they did a quick sono, took bloodwork for genetic testing, and we sat with the OB for a few minutes going over what testing options we have and also to ask her any questions.

i didnt need any blood because i had so much done at RE already. so they just did sono and went over questions we had... good uck deanna, so happy for u to see ur babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they might not even do a sono de...
my appointments are usually first a urine sample, then they weigh me... then we get to hear the HB. we go over any questions and that's pretty much it!

I think we are using the same OB. I had to pee in a cup, get weighed, Blood pressure, PAP since it had been a while, breast exam-all done by nurse practitioner. sono see and hear HB. Dr felt uterus and that was it. Then blood. You get bounced around that office a lot, but at least they do it all there. Good luck. (Baby is giving his/her 2 cents - poking me a lot while writing this)

yea we both see Dr. Rosenberg right?
okay looks like i will be getting the works done! besides the pap.. luckily i just had that.. yuck!
awww for poking!! i can't wait to feel that!

You and I have the same deal.. Dr. K (peri) every other week and the OB every 4 weeks.
At the first OB apt they did a sono, checked urine for any infections, did an internal and also cultured for bacteria (they also wanted to do a pap but I refused it bc mine was normal in Feb), took BP, and weighed me. As for BW they will do an HIV test and a CBC. They won't do any genetic testing on you bc Dr. K will be doing all of that.
In our cases....the OB only delivers our babies. They won't be monitoring you really. After this apt the only thing they will do is weigh you, take your BP, listen to the babies HB with a portable doppler and that's it. I have never been there more than 10 minutes.I usually see Dr. Cafaro at University Plaza.
