My OB called me back
She wants me to go to a RE. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach-I'm not quite sure why this upsets me.
She just feels that with my age and the fact that I've had 2 children followed by 2 recurrent losses that I'd be in better hands with an expert. I know that she's right, but it still feels strange.

it could be something as simple as a progesterone deficiency, and she's right - you'd be in better hands with an RE. the good thing is you just had two children VERY recently so more than likely it's an easy fix.

Second.........don't be sad. I know how you feel because when I was first referred to the RE I felt like a failure, I was so upset, I couldn't understand why I couldn't just get pregnant like everyone else, etc. etc. In the end though, it was the BEST thing I EVER did! Within 4 months of seeing the RE I was pregnant after months and years of TTC on my own. The RE is the best person to handle any fertility issues and they will help you get the result you want, which is being pregnant, as fast as possible. Don't be sad about, be happy there is someone out there very qualified to help you.

Thank you. I guess I just feel that with 2 already, maybe I;m being "greedy" if anyone can undertsand that.
I guess because we've kind of been at a crossroads so to speak about having a third, to have to overtly say, "OK- we ARE TTC #3" is wierd. I suppose knowing it likely won't "just happen" is upsetting to me.
Blah- stupid emotions. I hate AF.

I'm right there with you!! I have 2! I had 2 MC and we're TTC for #3!! I actually have an appt with my reg. ob on thursday, and already have an RE in mind!! Dont stress ... I mean, i've been fighting just going to the Dr. But we've been trying for 8 months now and nothing, and I guess i have more factors against me then for me. I've come to the realization that what ever will be will be, and if I need a little help at this point the so beit!! Hang in there!! I know how hard it is, but just remember you're not alone!! So vent away!!
