spinoff to hair straightening question... how often do you use your flat iron?

I basically cannot blowdry without ironing it after or it looks like a frizzy nest of sh*t

So..... it's either blowdry and iron OR let it airdry in a braid and hope for the best!


I try to just use the iron ONCE a week but sometimes it's hard to resist.. or I have multiple special events in the same week where I end up using it 3-4 times


How many times in an average week do YOU use the iron?

I use mine almost everyday I try to give my hair a break on the weekends if I'm not doing anything special.

everyday, since I have naturally curly hair it curls up on the roots when I sleep so I need it to touch it up but I don't do my whole head everyday. I do my whole head after I shower.

Its bad but I have no choice, I hate my hair curly!

I hate hate hate blowdrying my hair....I CANNOT do it. I've watched the hair dresser, and I don't know, I just can't manipulate the brush and dryer at the same time like that.

Me being a spaz combined with the fact that I have really thick wavy hair means I airdry everynight and have to straighten in the morning, depending on how bad it is wave/frizz wise.

I try not to do it everyday though.

I was my hair once or twice a week and have to blow dry and flat iron it every time. In the summer I am more likely to leave it curly.

I flat iron everyday. It is so addicting...once you start ..u never STOP! I have been flat ironing everyday for the past 10 yrs.

I have to though...i have curly curly-frizzy thin hair. I blow dry it straight everyday and then flat iron. NO-one but my husband has seen it curly..(when i get out of the shower)

Almost every day. Sometimes I won't on a Saturday or Sunday if I am just hanging out at home. And I wish that I could just be the type that washes and does my hair 2-3 times a week, but I go to the gym and I have to wash my hair afterwards!

i flat iron whenever i want straight hair. even if I go to bed with straightened hair it needs touch ups the next day. i am not an gentle sleeper
