is this appropriate for a wedding?
I know, I know -- if I have to ask, it probably isn't.
I tried it on and it looks absolutely gorgeous -- it's more of a cream base w/silver detailing.

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
It's silver right? Why wouldn't it be?
Sometimes i think people are way too sensitive about the color thing. If you wore this to my wedding i'd say "Fabulous dress! where did you get it!?"

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
It's a thick (jacquard) type of fabric, where the underlying material is cream, and then the woven details are in silver.
Here it is in gold:

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
I was also planning on wearing a black pashmina and black shoes with the silver dress...so that's okay right?

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
I think it's fine! Very pretty dress!!
I have to say however, that I have seen people wear stark white to weddings how incredibly tacky and thoughtless....... Thankfully, that didn't happen at my own!

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
I like it in both colors...if you're worried, why not get it in gold?

the gold was definitely a lot more cream/ivory/white than it was gold.
Tomorrow I'm going to check out the dress in person in the silver and make a judgment call.
Thanks y'all.

I think it's a little too close to white for a wedding.
I'm sorry but I have to agree too
But I must add that I love that dress!

Re: is this appropriate for a wedding?
To me, it's so obviously not white. I thought white was the only color off limits, not colors close to white.
I think it's a gorgeous dress and you should wear it!

Not every bride wears stark white and some brides change into shorter dresses for the reception.
