News last night...heartbreaking!!!
Did anyone watch the news last night?
I saw a report on the news last night about this poor couple that went through IVF and the mom is like 8 or so months pregnant and the found out that the fertility clinic implanted the wrong embryo...it's another couples baby! How unbelievably awful!!!
The couple plans on giving the child to the parents after he's born.
I can't imagine how they must feel.
I saw something just like that on Private Practice last season and thought that would never happen, TV is so outrageous. I guess I was wrong.
My heart goes out to both families

God bless them for giving th ebaby to the other couple. I can't see how they could do that...I mean I can see, but i dont think i would be able to finally get preggo and then have to give it away.

I saw this too. Absolutly heartbreaking in so many ways. i can't even imagine that happening. My heart goes out to them. But I must say they have a lot of strength and huge hearts to be able to do something so selfless.

they found out right after implantation that it was not their baby i found it odd, they made it seem like they didnt really have an option but to return the baby to its biological parents. I mean, I guess they dont really. It was a mistake and the child does not belong to them, even though the woman did carry him for 9 months

I remember that Private Practice episode, too. Talk about life imitating art.
So sad! I can't imagine how either party is feeling right now.

I just read this about 5 mins ago in People  . I thought back to Private Practice too. It is heartbreaking, but at least it will have a happy ending. It is sort of as if that woman was chosen to bring the other couple's baby into the world. She apparently suffered many miscarriages.
