What to expect from an RE

We have our first appointment with the RE next week

Does anyone have any insight on what we can expect?
What are the first things they look for?
what sort of testing do they do? (we've already had DH do a SA)

i have no idea what to expect and i'm curious to know what steps they take

My first visit with the RE was A LOT of questions for me and DH. Medical history and stuff like that. I was sent for blood work. I also had an internal sonogram. (those are fun!! )

I went in there with the initial diagnosis of PCOS from my regular gyno so he looked to confim that.

Your first appointment will mostly be a consult where they will go over your medical histories. The RE asked us a few personal questions too about our relationship (how long we've been together, etc). Then the RE did an ultra sound after the consult.

Based on what we told the RE (we are just starting out with no known IF), we were set up for blood work to check for various things like STDs, hepatitis, etc and they did progesterone testing for me. They sent DH for a SA. Next up for me they are doing an HSG. The timing of everything will totally depend on your cycle.
