What to wear to the wineries out east?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to wear when we tour the wineries this weekend.

Should I wear a dress or is jeans and a sweater with heels acceptable?

TIA!

I'm going to the wineries this weekend too and was just discussing with my sister what we should wear!

It's supposed to be around 70 degrees and sunny, but could still be cool. I've seen people wear dresses, but i want to be comfortable. So i was planning on wearing jeans with a t-shirt and a nice sweater (in case i'm hot or cold). Not sure about the shoes yet though. I was thinking along the lines of flats, just cause I'm more comfortable. You don't have to be overly dressed up to go. Have a good time! Which wineries are you going to?

I'd skip the heels. You may want to walk out into the fields and that would make it tricky. Plus depending on how many tastings you go to flats might be better for balance lol Chat Icon

I have never seen anyone "dressed up" a the wineries unless it was a wedding.

People come in shorts in the Summer.

Jeans are fine. Heels? It is a bit muddy sometimes if you want to go out of the building and "walk around".

ITA... no need to dress up. Nice jeans, cute top, some flats (slipper shoes, cute flip flops, etc). Maybe throw a sweater or jacket in case it gets cool.

Have fun! Chat Icon

I agree, no need to dress up at all .....and I am one of those people who lives in my stilletos ....but leave them home and be comfortable and have fun ......Alot of gravel and mud and grass ......you don't want to be walking around in heels -

I'm going to be going to the wineries this weekend too, so I'm glad you posted this question because I was wondering what to wear also. I think I will wear jeans and a cute top and maybe platform sandals. Also, reading all the posts about possibly walking in mud makes me think flip flops might be a better choice.

It's not usually mudd in the parking lot and to the tasting building. It's either paved or gravel type surface (heels and gravel... no no!!!). But if you want to look around it might be a dirt road or grass.

We are going for my friend's birthday. Apparently two of the other girls are wearing dresses and flats, so I will probably do the same.

Thanks everyone!Chat Icon
