Is there a difference between a reg digital thermometer and a basal thermometer?? Sorry if i sound stupidChat Icon

You don't sound stupid and there are no silly questions here! Yes there is a difference. I do know that. Do I know what it is? No. Chat Icon But I know you need to use a BBT to temp for O.

the BBT gives you a reading 2 places beyond the decimal point for more accuracy. a regular digital only reads one place.

you need to use a basal one that has 2 numbers after the decimall

Definitely not! Your data is still valid, it's just less precise. The BBT gives you a more detailed and accurate temp, but a regular one gives you 'close enough' info.
CVS and other regular drug stores carry BBTs, so just go tomorrow and pick one up and continue charting as you have been. Chat Icon

yea , i mean, i wouldnt completely disregard the chart if thats what you mean, but for myself, i like to see every hundredth of a degree; im a little charting OCD
