help! my skin!!!!!
since coming off bcp and stopping all my acne meds, my skin has been beyond horrible!!
any suggestions???

I am still using Retin-A until I get a BFP, my dermatologist said it was okay. However, I can use clindagel all through out pregnancy and it worked for me. I think I have to stop my Ovace, its a sulpher (sp?) wash.

I recently just came off bcp also and I wash with Cetaphil that seems to be helping.

i have the same problem. even my bacne came back  . havent seen that since high school.
anyway been using clean and clear wash with at least 10% benzoyl peroxide 2x per day. it helps but doesnt eliminate the problem. i use clean and clear persagel with 10% benzoyl peroxide for flare ups.
also i went to a dermatologist and he wouldnt prescribe me anything. he said nothing perscription strength is really safe for pregnancy, but benzoyl peroxide and over the counter creams/washes are fine.

my derm said no BP and no salycic acid, so i am going to be very limited!

my OB said topical arithromiacin (sp?) was ok and my derm prescribed it, but it didn't help....
i miss my acne meds....

I use Aveeno clear complexion pads once a day, or every other day if my skin is getting dry. I also use their clear complexion daily face lotion. If I have to spot treat I use the burt's bees blemish stick, it stinks but it works lol.

When I first came off BCP I broke out really bad! It was horrible. But after a couple of months it got better. I use Proactiv.

ive been using the old school nuetrogena soap that is glycerine based and witch hazel. my skin is starting to calm down now (5th cycle off bcp).

OMG I know exactly what you're going through!! Ever since I came off BC in April I've been breaking out alot more. ANd not just on my face either! I've been getting them on my arms, legs, everywhere!  I mean, who the helll breaks out on their arms?!?
Im hoping it all calms down soon and hopefully it will for you too!

Benzoyl peroxide is fine they say that salycic acid is not recommended when PG.
I started using the Clean & Clear Advantage 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser a little over a week ago. My face has cleared up so fast. It has 5% Benzoyl Peroxide.

I've been told it's safe. But ask your Dr just in case.
