Chart help... when did I O?

I wonder if fertilityfriend is correct on when I ovulated. It says I O'd on CD 20. I did have a thermal shift after that, but then on CD 24 I had a bigger thermal shift. Also, on CD23-24 I had some cramping. Do you think I O'd on CD 23 and that was O cramping? I got my + OPK on CD 19 and 20 so is it possible to O 4 days after a + OPK?

Just got AF today so I'm wondering if I missed my O day last month. We did it everyday around what I thought was O. I'm thinking of doing every other day this next cycle to let DH recharge.

Any suggestions?? I'm going to try and post my chart.

you O'd at your first thermal shift at day 19-20

i am like that too.

If you can't post your chart, can you post the 6 temps leading up to CD20 and then the next 6 temps?

On what CD did you get AF?

I'm tempted to say that since you got a +OPK on CD20 and Fertility Friend drew your O line around then based on your temps, that that's when you O'd.

Remember that you can time BDing perfectly with your O date and still not get pregnant - only 20% or so of couples will get pregnant their first month of trying unfortunately.

Ok I see it now and I can see why you think it's possible you O'd on CD23. I think that if you hadn't been using OPK's, the question would be really there... it IS possible to ovulate a couple of days after you get your + OPK, but it's unlikely.

You don't have the classic tri-phasic chart because your 3rd set of high temps don't really start midway in your luteal phase. Do you have FertilityFriend set to automatically evaluate your O date? Or by any chance did you change it to go by your OPK's? I doubt you did that since you're temping, but in case you did, change it back to evaluate automatically.

Even if you did O on CD23, you had BD'd two nights before so technically you could have still gotten pregnant, but I noticed that you didn't note any CM for before or after CD23, so if you really did O on CD23, then you may not have had fertile CM enough to sustain the sperm until you O'd.

Also, you COULD draw the coverline on CD23, but notice how there wouldn't be any other temps in the first half of your cylce close to the CD21 temp... I think it's likely that you O'd on CD20.

That said, it looks like you didn't have CM during the time that you O'd - whether it was CD20 or CD23... so the sperm would die within a couple of hours since there wasn't fertile quality CM to sustain them. I read that sperm needs to live inside you for about 12 hours in order to "mature" enough to be able to fertilize an egg - so MAYBE that's the reason???? Have you tried taking Robitussin or Mucinex to help with your CM?

Thanks so much for your response! I was kinda charting CM but sometimes I'm not sure what kind I got or just didn't record it. I'm going to pay more attention to it next cycle. I was taking Mucinex a couple of times, but I would forget sometimes so I wasn't very consistent with it. I used preseed twice but then ran out. I just ordered more for this cycle and will use it everytime.

Do you think it is better to BD everyday or every other day?

I didn't change anything. It is set on whatever the original settings are.

Ok good, so it's basically analyzing all the info that you input and it is determining the day that you O'd so I would take it that you O'd on CD20.

I think knowing what kind of CM you have can be confusing - try reviewing the descriptions of what each type of CM looks like. If you find that you don't have a lot, try using the Robitussin or Mucinex on any days that you have CM.

I have read that you should try BDing every day during your fertile window, but that if you know that your DH has a low sperm count or any sperm issues, that you should try for every other day so that he builds up the number of good swimmers. You could also try every day one month and if unsuccessful, try every other day the next month.

I also read that you try having your DH abstain for any ejactulation prior to BDing during your fertile window.
