Question about Pre-Natal Vitamins
I hear a lot about people taking them when they are TTC. Is it something that is very necessary? Last time I visited my Dr., I told him we weren't too serious about trying to get pregnant but would be in the very near future and he told me to start taking a Women's Daily Vitamin. I have been taking these for about a month. Should I switch over or is this good enough for now?

Re: Question about Pre-Natal Vitamins
I did the same with my first it's just suppose to prepare you. The one's your on should be fine until you go to your OBGYN when you become pregnant (Bring the vitamins with you) and they will decide from there.

Re: Question about Pre-Natal Vitamins
You should just make sure you are getting enough folic acid. They reccommend that women take is before they actually get pregnant. I originally was taking a women's one a day vitamin plus extra folic acid. So, my doctor prescribed a pre-natal that has everything I need. I guess it is just easier!

Re: Question about Pre-Natal Vitamins
My dr. said that a regular mutlivitamin was fine, that the extra amount of extra folic acid in prenatals is probably peed out anyway.
She wrote me an Rx for prenatals if I wanted to take them but I just bought the Target brand ones which she said was fine.
