Cement wall inside my co-op
in one of my bedrooms, one of the walls in my co-op is a cement/fire wall. i want to hang some pictures on this wall. do you think i will be able to? are there any hooks that will hold in that wall ya think?

I think I remember seeing screws that were made to go into cement walls when I was in home depot- I would check there and see

Yeap there are screws maid specifically for cement walls. I had a bunch in my coop. It's doable.

yes, they do and think that they may be called molley's? not too sure though. My husband I believe, did have to buy an attachment for his drill. But you can def. do it, we have

Mmm, yeah, we have one, too but I think it was covered with plaster. We have one picture hanging (a large one, like 3'x4'). I don't remember, though, what we used.

i think there is something like a diamond tipped drill bit that screws into cement for hanging pics

our kitchen cabinets are on a cement wall in our co-op and up with tapcons :)

Lead anchors will definitely work, there may be other products as well. You will need a drill also--no way you can tap into cement with a hammer.

There are special drill bits for that--home depot has a chart in the drill section that explains which type of drill bit to get for which material.
