well, my sister decided to announce it for me on her page so I had no choice but to confirm it due to our mutual family members and friends. I think I was like 40 minutes pregnany before everyone I knew, knew it.

I told my closest friends and family first before making any kind of reference in my FB status. Around 20 weeks I wrote a comment about how I'm confused about double strollers and people immediately figured everything out 
I'm glad I posted it that way, because one of my friends hooked me up with a nice deal on a Maclaren Twin Triumph that her friend was getting ready to sell!

Yes- basically to let DH's extended family know as we live OOS and wouldn't see them until I was over 6 months.

Im still really early so I am waiting to post it on FB. There are family members and co workers on there that dont know yet. I was actually thinking of waiting until we know the sex before making an announcement.

I didn't make a big announcement on Facebook. Some people found out which was fine but I didn't come out and say it.
I also didn't tell people at work for a long time either! It depends on your personality.

I am going to announce here and on FB at 12 wks-almost 6wks now. But I know a lot of people who announce at 20+ wks.

I wasn't the one who first posted it, DH did... he was so excited that at midnight of the day we decided to start telling people, he jumped on and spilled the beans... I didn't even realize it until later in the day when I went on and had 30 congratulatory posts on my wall.
Since then it's been out in the open...
