What does the term "natural delivery" mean to you?
Just curious what the consensus is. I assume it to mean non-medicated birth

I thought the same as well, but most people I know use it to describe any kind of vaginal birth....

to me a natural delivery is how the mother wants it...
i had a C section but to me that is a natural delivery.
i never wanted to go into labor, i never wanted a vaginal baby, i never wanted to contract, i never wanted my water to break... when i found out i was 1st preg with DS the 1st thing i asked my dr bc my sono was will you do an elective C and he said yes... if he had said no, i would have looked for another OB
natural delivery is how the mommy wants it.

before ds#2 i thought natural meant vaginal....but then i had him vaginal w/o drugs and that was NATURAL

I have no idea-I've heard it used for drugless and I've heard it used for vaginal birth when people who are prudes like me don't want to say any part of the word "vagina" when talking about their delivery.
Probably drugless makes the most sense.

Whenever I'm asked if my births were natural-they mean vaginal.

If that's the way you see it, fine. I can rspect that; to each is own, but that wouldn't be the answer if you looked it up.

No drugs. But I know a lot of moms will they say they had a natural delivery because they delivered vaginally.

her initial question was "What does the term "natural delivery" mean to you?" and to me thats what it means.,. yes when you look it up it means no meds vaginally.. but to me personally its not natural...
