Viking Cooking Class
Has anyone ever taken a Viking Cooking Class? I was thinking of signing my grandmother and I up for one for Mother's Day. She's a phenominal cook and is obsessed with cooking shows... but I don't know if she'd be offended by my thinking she needs to take a class..lol she's 87 and can be moody at times
What are your experiances on Viking in Garden City??

Re: Viking Cooking Class
That is so weird that you are posting this today. 3 of my co-workers took the Friday class and I am thinking of signing up for the one out in Bridgehampton with 2 of my friends (actually they told me that they want to take me as a birthday present). They took the one in Garden City and they loved it. I just read the brochure and there are a lot of really fun things.

Re: Viking Cooking Class
wouldn't take a cooking class.... For that, I would go to a formal school with really advanced techniques since cooking is my hobby and I am reasonably knowledgeable....
I DO, however, take field trips to loaves and fishes for certain kitchen supplies... that shop!

Re: Viking Cooking Class
I've taken three classes and loved them! I've done Girls' Night Out: Rome, Celebration Brunch and NY Steak House.
The chefs have been really nice and funny. You cook and eat your own meals and the food is great! Oh yeah, and wine...who doesn't love that!
I would definitely recommend...however, you're standing almost the whole time and I'm not sure if that's an issue for your grandma...

I think they're around 3 hours...but remember, part of that involves eating.
