Re: moms of infant/toddler girls, very TMI and awkward ?

First of all Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you, maybe she has a UTI or something, I think that from what you are describing, the hole that you are seeing might be her Urethra. You don't always see it.

I think all girls have two openings...the birth canal and the urethra (where urine is discharged from.)

Sounds pretty normal to be but it's always better to be safe then sorry.

Re: moms of infant/toddler girls, very TMI and awkward ?

Hi.

I am a little confused about what you are asking. Do you mean her vaginal opening?

My DD is 5 mths old and her vaginal opening is very clear to me. I make sure to clean her good and it should be visibly open when you clean in there.

Tell me more so I can help you out. Chat Icon

My DD is 2 also and doesn't like to be touched down there either. From what I have heard from other moms, it is normal to feel like that at that age.

She could possibly have a yeast infection. You were smart to make an appointment just to be sure.

Hang in there, I'm sure it is nothing.
