coloring easter eggs?
How soon is too soon to color them? We have my nephew sleeping over tomorrow night so thought about doing it with him and dd, but not sure if that is too early

Re: coloring easter eggs?
How old are they? I just did it with my DD and she is 27 months. The dye was non toxic so even if she decided to try it, it would be safe.

Re: coloring easter eggs?
We're doing ours on either Friday or Saturday. I posted the same question a few weeks ago b/c I had no idea how far in advance they could be done either

Re: coloring easter eggs?
I think that's too early if you plan on actually eating them on Easter.
We color ours the day before Easter.

Re: coloring easter eggs?
We did them on Sunday. We'll probably break into them on Friday. I've had them in the firdge for a week before, but I wouldn't go longer than that.
If the kids are old enough to be careful, you can poke a small hole in the bottom of the egg and drain out the yolk and let the egg dry out. Then you can color and decorate and be able to keep them!

Re: coloring easter eggs?
We dyed them yesterday, but we don't eat them or anything. We used a great tie dye egg kit, it was so much fun and Ava did an awesome job with it.

Re: coloring easter eggs?
Easter's only a few days away were doing ours wed. We usually hard boil our eggs on sundays and they last us till friday for salads and stuff so they should be fine as long as you refrigerate them.
