Carpet Recommendation

ETA: Any recommendations for carpet installation?

I have a split and need to replace the carpet in my hallway/1 set of stairs. Is it worth it to go to Home Depot or is that something that can be done with remnants? If it can be done with remnants, does anyone have a recommendation?

Re: Carpet Question

for stairs i would have it done professionally.. home depot and lowe's does a great job!!

for bedrooms is where i would use remnants its much easier!

We will definitely have it installed professionally. My DH can do some handywork but carpeting is definitely out of his league.

Re: Carpet Recommendation

We priced about 5 different stores this weekend, and Home Depot seemed to have the best prices for what we were looking at. Lowes and our local carpet stores were much more $$$. I can't comment on quality yet, and I think they contract the work out.

We were very happy with HD!! They have done several rooms for us including cutting, binding and istalling a runner down our wood steps.

We found HD to be the least expensive and were very happy with the carpet they put down in our guest bedroom.
