HSG

Hey all,

I believe AF is coming, i had a bit of brownish pink on the TP today and she's due tomorrow. So, I'll most likely be on to another cycle of 150mg clomid (natural).

However, I have never had an HSG done because my RE said he didn't think my tubes are blocked. But how would he know unless one was done? Should I request that I have one?

If this next cycle doesn't work, I'll be moving onto injectables + IUI and I would hate for it to not work because my tubes are blocked.

Thanks

Re: HSG

I would ask the dr. why they don't think it's necessary. I know someone that is allergic to the dye and that's why they can't have it.

I'm glad I had one, even though it was unbelievably painful. I had a partial blockage which was cleared during the HSG.

I would too. I had a sonogram that didn't show my tubes beiung blocked, but both were found to be blocked during my HSG that I had 6 months after I had the sono. One tube was cleared later on during a second HSG.

I'd definitely do an HSG. IUIs would be no help at all if your tubes are blocked!

Re: HSG

I agree...would ask MD why not...and would definately request before spending all the money and emotions if there is a blockage. Be forewarned...it is a very uncomfortable barbaric test...but probable worth it.
