Re: How do i wean from formula to milk?

I am doing it very slowly b/c DS had a milk protein allergy, and b/c I have TONS of formula left....so what I have been doing is adding 2 oz. of milk to a 6 oz. bottle....so it's not half and half yet, but almost. He has been fine so far, but I am doing to continue doing that for a while, then I will do half and half for a while. I know that I am really speading it out...most people don't do it as slowly as I am.

I tried this with DS, but he didn't like the taste. So I started with 4 oz. formula, 2 oz. milk, and get increasing the amount of milk every few days. After 2 weeks, he was fine.

If DC doesn't have allergies so far or has shown problems with other milk products, I would just try straight milk and see what happens.

I replaced one whole bottle with milk for a few days, then did another bottle with milk, etc

in about 2 weeks she was on milk 100%
