Mom passed away
I came onto this board last month asking for support groups for people with parents who have cancer. At the time, I thought my mother had months left, maybe even a year. I was wrong. She passed away yesterday morning.
I want to thank everyone who replied to my message and FM'ed me with ways to help. Any act of kindness, even from people I don't personally know, means so much during this very difficult time.
Just wanted to give an update in case anyone was wondering.

I'm so terribly sorry. Words can't express how sad I am to hear this news.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find the strength to get through this tragedy and have the love around you to cope.

I can't even imagine what you are feeling.. I am so sorry for your loss.. Please be at peace knowing she is in heaven and whole again and will always watch you..

Thank you everyone.
It still doesn't seem real. I've been so busy making phone calls, getting the house ready for visitors, picking her cemetery plot (and wow, was that excruciating), writing her eulogy... I haven't had time to stop and let it all sink in. I guess that's what the funeral is for tomorrow.
