Granite from Home Depot
Has anyone purchased their granite kitchen countertops from Home depot??
If so, how is the quality? Do you recommend them?
Also, how are their prices in comparison to other places??

Home Depot's granite has a contract with the company I work for, Innovative Stone. They are the one's who do the template/installation on most of LI. If you are in Nassua or anywhere else in the US we have specific fabrcators we have a partnership with who do the work for us if far from our shop.
The quality is great but it can be expensive unless you get it on a promotion that they run. Come Jan there will be a big promo running. Don't know all of the colors that will be included just yet though. The reason it is priced higher is because its a stonemark brand which is exclusive to the Home Depot. Basically the slab is put through a special treatment process so you never have to seal it again after the first time. We are actually just starting to look into a greener way of doing this.

The other thing I didn't like is you couldn't choose your actual slab (that's what they told me anyway). You just choose the granite and they go from there. There is a huge difference in slabs and I wanted to be able to choose and template my slab.

They gave you wrong information. You would be contacted for what they call a slab viewing and then you can go in and actually pck the slab you want. Once you decide they tag those particular slabs so noone else pulls them from the bundle.

Ours is from the Home Depot and we had no problems with the installation and are very happy with the quality. We didn't pick the slab though.
